The Xu Dezhong book (not a secret doc) is no smoking gun. It shows Chinese military scientists *thought* about coronavirus as a weapon (by the US). From there to the claim that “Covid 19 may have leaked from a Chinese lab” are quite a few logical jumps 1/ https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/leaked-chinese-document-reveals-a-sinister-plan-to-unleash-coronaviruses/news-story/53674e8108ad5a655e07e990daa85465">https://www.news.com.au/world/cor...
It’s an extraordinary claim to make & requires extraordinary evidence to prove. Scientists’ thinking, even state-paid ones, does not equate policy. This is especially true to a policy as big as bioweapon. Listen to people who can actually read this document, please. 2/
Find the lab, find the actual smoking gun, and then make the claim. That’s what journalism and research are actually for. /end

Last, I’ll add. Embellishment, exaggeration, drawing conclusions from thin evidence on a matter of life and death of so many, will have long lasting negative impacts and undermine genuine, rigorous investigations by others to come. It’s harmful. Please stop
