At the end of the day this all comes down to money.
The current football money circus is unsustainable, the lockdowns due to pandemic made sure of that. It’s not an Inter problem, but a global football problem.
The players, agents AND fans need to understand this:
—>
All pre-pandemic wages & transfer fees are GONE. It’s over. Bye bye.
Cost cutting by 20-30% is the new norm across the board unless your name is PSG & Man City for obvious reasons.
The ESL was a way for certain clubs to address & avoid that reality. That no longer exists so
->
Since no more new money is coming in the only alternative is cost cutting.
It’s simple maths.
Suning aren’t doing anything no one else isn’t doing/forced to do.
This is our new reality in football.
Personally have zero empathy with millionaire agents & players whinging over ->
Cost cutting. Step out of your ivory towers and look around you in the communities you live in: poverty is rampant.
You’re still millionaires. Making €5m net/season as opposed to €8m net/season is NOT a sacrifice or a hardship. Not being able to feed your family is.
