It is taken to Westminster for symbolic reasons - the Queen will not wear it today đź‘‘
The Royal Standard was flying above Buckingham Palace today signifying the Queen’s return there for the first time in 6 months. She has been at Windsor Castle since Remebrance Day in November #QueensSpeech
The Queen, accompanied by the Prince of Wales, enters the House of Lords chamber and takes her seat at the throne.
The Imperial State Crown is held in front of her as she prepares to read the government-written #QueensSpeech
