We're not told what good places to get our news from are. We learn the history of legacy media but nothing about the many credible alternatives that have come up that we can turn to for examples of good journalism.

Not saying it's ok for aspiring journos to have no knowledge about the country and its politics, especially at an interview. What I do take issue with is this holier-than-thou tone that has now led people to call the interns in question everything from bimbettes to presstitutes.
