India's current problem is continually worsening due to lack of proper governance and accountability from the state, as well as how fast the new Indian strain is mutating.
With new mutations and symptoms rising and no responsibility, people are panicking even more.

States are not reporting correct numbers for positive cases and the daily death toll, the underreporting is just one of the ways people in power are trying to suppress the gravity of the situation

Just yesterday we received reports of how countless covid positive patients who died were "dumped into a river", the amount of insensitivity and lack of caution that goes into carrying out something so inhuman.. i have no words. (not including photos since they're too triggering)
You all have to understand that majority of the management right now is done by volunteer initiatives, be it established organizations or youth collectives working tirelessly to ensure we don't lose more lives and coordinate resources efficiently.
Meanwhile, we have people like Y0gi who are putting people in jail for sending out calls for help. He's the head of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of India which is also one of the worst-hit states at the moment.

While vital resources like oxygen is not being supplied due to our incompetent state authorities, H1ndus have been brainwashed into relying on "religious remedies", such as consuming cow urine and bathing in cow dung (yes, this is very much a real thing).
Our country is grappling for resources like oxygen. There are networks of people working on verifying leads tirelessly everyday, young people have quit their jobs to make up for the incompetent governance and help rebuild our communities. Please PLEASE keep talking about India.
While our country is administering vaccinations, these are not accessible by those who can't afford them. So many people have lost their jobs, NGOs are having to do ration runs for rural communities, and they're selling vaccines at ridiculously high rates.
Delhi Government (another one of the worst hit states) recently put a call out for funding to provide hospitals with ventilators. Delhi is facing a shortage of resources as well as frontline workers.

While people are dying due to lack of oxygen and essential resources, our government is currently concentrating on a project called the 'Central Vista' which costs ā¹20,000 crore (US$2.8 billion) and is essentially a needless project of infrastructure and reconstruction.
This project itself is utilizing a lot of oxygen, is putting people through so much unnecessary labour in the middle of a health emergency where we're losing life everyday but the government is more concerned with remaking the Prime Minister's home.

India's still struggling to efficiently deal with the new straint and it's rapid mutations. While we have resources pouring in from all the world, they're all disappearing? No accounts of where they went, they surely have not been used.

amidst this, in a lot of areas schools, colleges & offices remain physically open. while students arent under compulsion to attend, educators are made to travel. this has resulted in another surge of unnecessary deaths - the govt STILL denies

like do you understand how fucking RIDICULOUS it is that colleges are still open?? students are attending college, working jobs and then volunteering for relief work FULL TIME to prevent the country from completely collapsing. I know 47 student initiatives in 3 cities alone????
