#BREAKING: Martin Foley says #Wollert man arrived into Australia from overseas on April 19, the department has arranged for further urgent testing, the re-test came back as a positive #COVID19 case, but the man's three household contacts have returned negative results
Foley has announced several exposure sites, starting with the tier one sites "if you have been to any of these locations during the time indicated, you need to immediately isolate, you need to get
tested, and you need to quarantine for 14 days." #covid19 #wollert
JUST IN: Tier one sites include:

CHO Brett Sutton says: "We are always concerned about the prospect of transmission, that's why everyone
needs to do the right thing all of the time" #covid19 #wollert
Sutton: "The thing about this virus, there are some individuals who pass on to no-one else at all and there are some individuals who pass on to several people and you can't tell at this stage how infectious those individuals will be." #covid19 #wollert
Sutton says Health Dept is pushing the message that anyone in the Wollert and Epping areas should be "absolutely alert to symptoms and getting tested" #covid19 #wollert
On restrictions, Sutton says "we are not foreshadowing anything" but people should wear masks they can't physically distance from others especially in indoor settings. People should wear masks as usual on public transport, in rideshares, at airports and scan QR codes #covid19
Sutton says there is "definitely a sense of complacency creeping in" for Victorians. "We haven't had really significant outbreaks for some time and people drop their guard, people go about life as if we haven't been through the 15-months we have all been through." #covid19
Foley says there is "every indication" that we are going to be in a position of some form of closed borders for many, many months, if not years. #covid19 #wollert
Sutton says the #Wollert man was infectious for 48-hours before developing symptoms. Vic Health is not listing sites that don't relate to the non-infectious period. #COVID19Vic #covid19
Asked whether the new case had ended Victoria's 73-day streak, Sutton said since the case was likely acquired in SA "it will go down as an interstate case, if that is confirmed". #COVID19Vic
