In 2017, VA elected more Dems legislators & the House was only GOP +1
There were a bunch of special elections in state races - GOP => Dem

March 13, 2018 - Conor Lamb won PA-18 - a Dem flip

44 GOP House Members retired in 2018, 20 Dem House members retired then

Dems won a net gain of 40 seats in 2018

We had a fierceness about '18 and we defied the pundits, who tried to tell us it hadn't gone well, even AFTER 11-6

I don't know what all this means right now, except that Dems need to be strategic.
Examples: Lamb is thinking of running for PA Senate. Maybe he should be urged not to, to ensure we keep that seat. And PA is losing a seat
Tim Ryan has already announced, & Ohio is losing a seat.
