This is a guide on the Tears of Themis gameplay!

Note that this is based off the closed beta and therefore can still be changed in the final outcome.
CARDS

Of course, we have cards. You can get cards through the gacha system (explained below) OR through collecting card fragments by completing various tasks and stages.
Each card has its four parts. The first is enhance, where you increase the level of the card. You can increase the level through the usage of Oracles of Justice.
The second is evolve. You can increase the level cap of the cards through this, unlock the skills each card has, and unlock new cgs of each card! Each guy has a different set of chips needed to evolve.
You can get the necessary chips through the different stages. Stages only unlock on certain days, though!

PsyT (Mind Chip) - Vyn
Clients (Infinity Chip) - Marius
Reasoning (Vision Chip) - Luke
Case Study (Equalization Chip) - Artem
You can also get these by exchanging friendship badges. You can get more friendship badges by sending and receiving from friends!
The third is skills. Admittedly, I don't know much about them yet as they don't seem to be necessary in the early stages.
Finally, we have the stories. The stories unlock as your card reaches a certain level, so evolve and upgrade those cards asap!
DEBATE SYSTEM

There are stages known as the debate stages. You will be using your cards to "debate" against people.

(Don't worry. There's no actual debating.)
There are three attributes that are available to a card. Empathy, intuition, and logic. There's a triangle system in which one is stronger than the other.
You'll eventually unlock more slots in your deck which will allow you to have more cards to use against the arguments.

Personally, even though the boss is a certain type, I recommend bringing at least a card or two of the other two types to use against the smaller arguments.
GACHA SYSTEM

Much like genshin, tot's gacha system also has a pity system. In the beginner banner, an SSR will be available after the first 30 pulls. Afterwards, the next guaranteed SSR will be at 100 pulls.
You need items known as Visions in order to pull. You can get them through completing tasks, logging in, and exchanging S-Chips for them.
You can get more S-Chips by reading the stories*, completing stages*, doing dailies, and doing various tasks.

*The first time, at least. They give you 40 S-Chips for each first clear.
"How does this hold up to genshin?"

The probability of getting and SSR is 2.00%. Of course, that makes the probability of getting the character's card is 0.5%

For reference, pulling a 5 star in genshin without pity is 0.6%.
The 0.6% is then divided further into the 50-50 split; the chance of getting the featured character is 0.3%, while the standard banner 5 stars total to 0.3% (which means getting a standard banner character is at (0.05%).
HOWEVER, in terms of reaching pity, genshin has better rates since at 90 the odds of getting the featured is at 50% while TOT is at 25% (since theres 4 guys). Not only that, TOT is more expensive (180 instead of 160) and needs 100 pulls instead of 90.
Long story short, compared to genshin,

Pure luck ssr pulls -> better in TOT
Reaching pity -> worse in TOT
Also, note: the event banner has a different percentage rate compared to the permanent banner. Take a look at these:

Though, it may be because the event banner only has two SSRs and not 4 like the permanent one.
