I've been letting it all simmer for a bit, but the underlying feeling doesn't dissipate.I know TJ is not contractually obligated to do S2 & S3. Four years of law school were enough, so I rolled my eyes all the way to the back of my head when that argument was presented to me. 1/5
None of the fan devastation has to do with that. We get that TJ does not owe us anything. But, as an artist, he owes it to the role. The character was developed with TJ's full knowledge. That's why his statement is such BS. He knew what SP's ultimate fate ought to be. 2/5
His musings on the uniqueness of the devastating ending is a cop out, a narrative he developed in his head to make himself sound all philosophical & deep. But with the exception of Archive, his roles have been mediocre.SP, however, had the potential of a powerful character arc 3/5
development. So, why run away from a complex character? It comes down to the ridiculous misconception that JA romance is predictable, thus uninteresting. And that, my friends, is what infuriates me the most. SP was not a role meant for TJ. Period. 4/5
Final groan from me on this - his wilful ignorance as far as the efforts and campaign of the fans is abhorrent. No actor should treat the fans with such lackadaisical disrespect. 5/5
