People are looking at this the wrong way. We wouldn& #39;t even be having women taking Army fitness tests if the purpose of the Army was winning wars. It manifestly isn& #39;t (cf. Iraq & Afghanistan). The purpose of the Army is to advance feminism here and abroad. /1 https://twitter.com/StevenBeynon/status/1391752502417235969">https://twitter.com/StevenBey...
We have women in the Army so women can feel good and receive awards, and to serve as propaganda material for recalcitrant troglodytes such as you and me. I mean, they got an Indiana conservative singing the praises of West Point for graduating fat little black girls. /2
"But what about combat eff..." IDIOT. The US Army has not engaged in a serious battle on anything but its own terms since the fucking Tet Offensive. That was over half a century ago. MORON.

No US naval ship has faced an attack from a capable enemy resulting in serious loss of life since the USS Lib...I MEAN WORLD WAR TWO.

Who could the US Armed Forces *possibly* face that& #39;s on our scale? China and Russia are the only real possibilities. But China can bribe its way into whatever it wants, and Russia might have a large military, but it has very little ability to project outside its borders. /5
Mass infantry combat where having a bunch of women who can& #39;t handle the shit results in an entire division being lost to enemy fire isn& #39;t happening. Sorry to burst your bubble. /6
Oh sure, there will be unnecessary loss of life due to the physical & psychological limitations of women. Already has been. Imagine if the casualties at Fallujah were quadrupled due to female ineffectiveness.
That would have been just over 100 deaths. /7
That would have been just over 100 deaths. /7
We& #39;ve made war so safe that even women want to participate now. Sure, it& #39;s more dangerous than cutting wood, but remember what I said about the USA engaging in battle on its own terms? We pick our battles. We engage when we have overwhelming superiority or not at all. /8
So yes, women will cost lives. But the raw numbers will be so low, nobody will care. Sure, *if* women in the Army meant losing at Normandy, even the brass would balk at it. But to them, the risk is a small (absolute) number of extra men dying. /9
