I miss contra dancing so bad and have been listening to tons of contra music to cheer myself up about it so now I'm like...would a griddlehark contra AU be cute or is that too niche

is Harrow the nervous first-time dancer dragged to a beginner's lesson by her friends? or is she the reserved fiddle player Gideon desperately tails during the band break

Gideon is obv a dancer, contra requires her exact brand of somatic intelligence. Also I want her to swing me in her strong arms

I usually exclusively dance lead when I do contra (put THAT in your top/bottom chart) but I would dance follow for the opportunity to be swung by Gideon Nav

anyway all I know is that one night after dancing three songs together Gideon talks Harrow into coming outside with her during the break and they make out on the wet grass under an incredible night sky (this is happening in Vermont)
