Patrick Thompson, who recently stabbed to elderly Asian women in SF, was arrested 4 times in July, August & Sept 2017. He was charged for 3 violent crimes. He was placed on Mental Health Diversion on January 16, 2019. This is while @GeorgeGascon @LADAOffice was DA of SF. (1/7).

From 2019 until his diversion was deemed “successfully” completed, he was predominately in Bench Warrant Status. He didn’t show up to court basically the entire year despite being ordered to do so. 4/15/19, 5/6/19, 5/22/19, 6/5/19, 6/19/19 (2/7).

Were all dates he was ordered to show up, but didn’t. On 6/27/19, he was brought in through custody and released. From 8/7/19 through 11/19/19 he was in bench warrant status again. Multiple court dates that he did not show up for. @GeorgeGascon @LADAOffice you were SFDa. (3/7).

You didn’t seek to end his diversion or extend it. 1/29/20 -2/10/20, Thompson failed to show up to court. Again, on 3/11/20, he didn’t show up. On 3/16/20, he came to court. Then he bench warranted again and was brought in through custody in 4/20 (4/7).

In 4/20 he was found w a meth pipe. Despite basically never showing up to court as required, he was found to have completed the program EARLY in Aug 2020. @chesaboudin @SFDAOffice that’s when you were DA and had former Public Defenders you hired handling this case as DAs. (5/7)
