It is unconscionable to say nothing about the expulsions from Sheikh Jarrah, the police violence against Palestinians & Israelis, the violence against worshippers in Al Aqsa and speak only when it's Hamas exacerbating violence. (1/3) https://twitter.com/Conf_of_Pres/status/1391814095213670405
Some Jewish orgs think that any criticism of Israel is "hanging dirty laundry" or leads to hatred of Israel. That's simply not true. Calling out human rights abuses is 1) the right thing to do 2) a sign that one can care about future of Israel/Israelis/Jews AND Palestinians (2/3)
The right wing Jewish orgs that refuse to condemn occupation, expulsions, police violence, retaliation against civilian populations, etc etc help contribute to a false & dangerous dichotomy in which there's an assumption that one can care only about one people, not both. (3/3)
