I really dislike the term plangineer when used by engineers without any planning background because of the implication that you can just pick up our skill set. I don’t imagine it would be well received if I called myself a plangineer because I work with 95% engineers.
And yes I woke up and chose violence with this tweet. The planning profession is already degraded enough by folks with engineering backgrounds so maybe we could stop this lil practice unless you *actually* have a background in both.
Also before anyone goes off on me, I very much respect engineers and the critical work they do. I grew up around engineers and have worked with them throughout my career. So I am not anti-Engineer
