All of this "wait until you get robbed or attacked" stuff that gets thrown at abolitionists... like have y'all ever actually been robbed or attacked? What did the police do? Write it down?
Say what you will, but I don't think I've been any worse off for skipping that part when I've experienced harm.
Someone on here once told me, "Sorry, but I want there to be someone I can call" if they got robbed or assaulted, and the thing is, I do too. I want there to be someone we can call that would actually help in some way. We don't have that right now. We have *the idea* of that.
