NTSB finds $TSLA autosteer was not enabled in case of Houston crash, and that owner entered the car by the front seat, and passenger in the other front seat (i.e., there was in fact a driver after all). Preliminary cause of crash could not have been $TSLA AP.
2/ As many of us have speculated, the driver may have attempted to enable AutoSteer but did not, and may or may not have enabled cruise control (inconclusive). Either way, AP was NOT engaged, and with the steering wheel deformed, implies the owner was driving the car. $tsla
3/ I wonder how many in the media will admit publically they reached the wrong conclusion, and issue an apology to $TSLA for sloppy, inaccurate reporting.
