1. More terrible public-health messaging. @JohnBerman asks Xavier Becerra why, if everyone in an office is vaccinated, they need to wear masks, and Becerra hems and haws before saying vaccinated people still need to wear masks because "we want you to be as safe as possible."
2. This doesn't even fit the science according to the CDC, which says that fully vaccinated ppl can "Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing." There's no sensible distinction between "visiting" and "being in an office with."
3. And "Even if you get vaccinated, you're still going to have wear a mask, even when you're only around other vaccinated people" is a dismal way to encourage hesitant people to get vaccinated.
4. Fauci was correct yesterday when he said that we need to, and will, relax indoor mask mandates soon. Becerra should not be out there implicitly making the case for why they should stay in place.
