Social media the month or so before the SBC Annual Meeting (or, in this case, like 24 months) is always - every year - so exhausting and demoralizing. But then the actual meeting is often encouraging, full of life, Christ-honoring, and Spirit-filled.

Stop tweeting about the SBC and start praying for the SBC.
Some suggested prayers:

“Where there is slander, gossip, and lying, Lord, we ask that you shut the mouths of the wicked. And if it is our own mouths that need to be shut, show us and lead us to repentance in your kindness.”
“Where there is false teaching, Lord, we pray that you would break the teeth of wolves and guard your sheep. And if it is our own teeth that need to be broken, show us and lead us to repentance in your kindness.”
“Where there is ungodly ambition, Lord, we pray that you would bring low the arrogant and humble the proud. And if it is our own hearts that defiantly desire our own kingdoms, show us and lead us to repentance in your kindness.”
“Where there is hurt, pain, and brokenness, Lord, we pray that you would heal it and restore the unity of Christ’s body through the bond of peace. And if it is we who have harmed our brothers & sisters, show us and lead us to repentance in your kindness.”
“Where there is unity, Lord - in our common confession, our common mission, and our common love for one another - we pray that you would remind us of it and exhort us to foster it. And if we have forgotten or forsaken it, show us and lead us to repentance in your kindness.”
