Don't be the grown-ass elephant that’s knowingly stuck in the rope.

I hope this resonates...
One day you're out at the safari park.

You pass by a herd of elephants that have just arrived and you suddenly stop, confused at what you've just seen.

You notice the elephants are being held in place by only a small, frayed rope tied to their front leg.
It doesn't take you long to work out that they could break free at any point, however at no stage did they try.

You notice a zookeeper nearby and you ask why the elephants just stand there and make no attempt to escape.
He says "Well, when they are young and smaller, we use the same size rope to tie them, and at that age, it's enough to hold them.

But, as they grow up, they are made to believe they cannot escape. They think the rope can still hold them, so they never attempt to break it"
You're amazed.

You know these elephants could break free from their binding at any point, but just because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck in place.
You realise that just like the elephants, so many of us go through life hanging on to the belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it before or someone told us we couldn’t.

Failure is part of learning and in fact, you probably won't learn without failing.
Don't hold back because someone tells you that you can't do something.

Break your rope, take the risks and live your life the way you're supposed to.
