1/ Excited to share that we are officially unveiling Angel Squad to the public today. This is a unique and inclusive community of angel investors, who have the opportunity to invest alongside Hustle Fund.

3/ We created Angel Squad because we realized at @HustleFundVC that some of the most strategic investors on cap tables were often not other VC institutions, but rather small check angels.
4/ Angels are some of the best allies a founder can have in the early days. But the community of angels historically has been very indexed toward men in tech in the Bay Area.
5/ At Hustle Fund, we have a mantra that great hustlers look like anyone and come from anywhere. It's represented in the diverse portfolio we have put together to date. And, we think that a healthy community should have this kind of representation among investors too.
6/ Angel Squad has been running since January in stealth, and has brought together a diverse set of new angels that don't fit your typical trope: women, underrepresented, traditional industry, non-SV geo. And it's been freaking awesome.
7/ At Angel Squad, we train new angels on Hustle Fund's style of early-stage investing, and present opportunities for participants to invest into the same deals alongside us. We want the Squad's diverse voices to be included in these cap tables that we are a part of.
8/ Leading this program is the incredible @b_nicks11. He is an awesome founder and investor; and, he previously ran On Deck Angels. Brian is also an incredibly kind human being who deeply cares about bringing more voices to the table.
9/ I'll never forget the first time I met @b_nicks11 over a year ago—we were set up by @jwdanner as an opportunity to network with one another, but ended up spending over 2 hours talking about our families and values.
10/ @b_nicks11 has done an incredible job leading over 150 Squad members to date, and brings so much heart and character into his work. Our team is so blessed to work with him. And our ecosystem is all the better for it.
