This photo doesn't quite capture the magic of this moment. Yesterday, even though I'm not a mom, I got to do something really special on mother's day.
I got to see my book in a bookstore for the very first time.
It's hard to explain how much this means to me.
As a new author, and previous bookseller the moment was surreal. My book came out at the start of the pandemic so this moment has been delayed over a year. But it finally happened. My book shares a shelf with famous authors. It's really real. I'm an author.
It took until I got back to the car for it to sink in and the tears to come. I did it you guys!
Thank you @BrckMrtrBooks for this major life moment. 😭💚🥰📚
P.S. there are now signed copies of MULROX AND THE MALCOGNITOS at Brick & Mortar. Get it in person or order by 📞 or ✉️
In case you ever wondered how important indie bookstores are to authors, I hope this thread shows how much we need and appreciate them. This store was my local book haunt before my book came out and their support means so much. #shopindie #shoplocal #pnw
