Did dark money and dirty tactics swing Scottish election?
So I looked at tactical voting ads in #SP21 and found some pretty worrying things
Tens of thousands spent by anonymous campaigns. Turning Point buying ads. Rules flouted

I can reveal that the same people behind the Capitalist Worker campaign that spent £65k bought lots of tactical voting ads - and failed to carry imprints, as is now election law in Scotland.
Pro-Trump Turning Point spent £3,700 in final days of campaign. Again no imprints

Then there is 'Independent Green Voice' - which sounds a lot like the Greens but is actually ex-BNP (including candidate) accused of Holocaust denial.
Two months before #SP21 IGV registered a new logo - and won thousands of votes, denying Greens probably two seats.

This far-right 'Green' party really affected the UK (and even international) framing of the #SP21 result - without it Scottish Greens would almost certainly have taken Tory list seats.
Douglas Ross would have faced questions about Tory representation at Holyrood falling.

So, once again, we have an election in which anonymous money and dirty tricks are at play, this time in Scotland.
How will government respond? Well, Boris Johnson is introducing voter ID - but otherwise seems our broken electoral system will be unchanged.
