It is generally felt that CoWin is an app only for the elites (which is true) but it is also a poorly designed app.

1. It needs an OTP verification every time you log in. Each session lasts ~10 mins and logs you out while you may be trying to book.
2. It doesn't allow you to save your profile i.e. you have to enter pin code/district every time.

3. Hospitals are arranged neither alphabetically nor location wise.

4. Hospitals are often marked by numbers (e.g. Apollo Hospital 1) from which the location is not clear.
5. You can't filter basis age/price/vaccine type. (Possible on the website but not on the app.)

6. There are no alerts or notifications. One has to depend on private citizen-made alerts, all of which don't work or take too long.

I could go on but the point is it's a broken app.
Most of these need very simple fixes. I have seen multiple (hundreds?) people talking about them. Any conscientious, responsible app developer would have addressed these by now.

It reflects very poorly on India's tech capabilities that our life-saver app is such a shit product.
This what it has been reduced to. Checking Whatsapp groups where good Samaritans are sharing estimated timings of vaccine slot release.
