The 5 yr old wants her own YouTube channel.

my mother (Mimi) babysat for us on Friday night and I’m just now finding videos my daughter recorded for her channel. I hope you enjoy my play-by play

Video 1

5 begins by telling everyone she’s going to give a tour of my house (the horror!), but it turns out I have nothing to worry about because she cannot aim the camera on her iPad anywhere but up her nose and captures the ceiling for a lovely tour of the first floor

3/13
as my daughter captures our lovely recessed lighting, we are graced by my mother in the background telling 2 that he needs to eat something- what does he want to eat?

4/13
5 then offers to show her room to everyone and captures the decor as if she were strapped into that hurricane carnival ride (dramamine not provided). She then plops down to start some dialogue and sets her iPad up directly next to a full-blast sound machine

5/13
in the artificial wind tunnel you see her show off a plastic Easter egg she has put a face on and show off a shoebox. She says something about liking boxes and shrugs.

that concludes video 1

Video 2

5 is sitting on the couch with a guest, and introduces her Mimi to the fans at home. She thinks for a minute and covers her mouth and in a loud whisper instructs Mimi that when she asks say they’re making cards.

7/13
5 then returns to her audience and says, “So Mimi, why don’t you tell the folks at home what we’ll be doing today?”

Mimi completely fails and says we’re watching 2 play with a veterinary kit

8/13
5 shakes her head and corrects her. “No! Today we’re making Valentine’s Day cards.”

Mimi says, “you mean Mother’s Day cards?”

5: yes, Mother’s Day cards

Video 3

Now that we’re in a groove, 5 gives an excellent intro to her YouTube channel and explains that we’ll be making cards today. She’s set up the camera to capture her whole body with a background that doesn’t look like a disaster and I am impressed.

10/13
She takes apart two pieces of paper, noting that one can be given to a friend, and proceeds to give great instructions how to fold the paper to make a card. Wow. She’s nailing this one.

Then, she says, you get your markers or crayons and...

11/13
Realizes she has gotten no pens or markers.

Mimi again tried to get 2 to eat something in the background. “Do you want a banana?”

5 looks around, sees no pens or markers, and announces she’ll be right back.

12/13
we now get to stare at the empty floor as 5 goes to hunt for markers.

and we wait

and we wait

aaaaaand we wait.

13A/13 (I miscounted, sue me)
and finally after a solid two minutes of silence (2 must have gotten a banana), 5 returns sticking her head sideways into the camera to say
“nevermind.” And turns off the camera.

The end. Please like and subscribe.
