We have been saying this for decades (I've been saying it for 20 years): put resources into the #AANHPI community for #GOTV.

In #STL, there is a major entity that gave 1 grant of $2k out of $4-5M taxpayer $ to an #AAPI led org or individual. When 4-5% of the population is #AAPI = 0.05%. (No, I didn't make a calculation error.) We might as well be invisible.

Btw this is an issue in partisan giving as well. Historically, #AAPI major donors have been told by the Dem party nationally that we are not allowed to earmark our monies to #AAPI turnout efforts.
This has resulted in swing state leaders self funding signs, translation etc.

The stories I could tell would make you weep. Grown adults - matriarchs and patriarchs of our communities - begging for funds so that we can reach a vote rich but underappreciated population.
If #AAPIs underperformed, the response was, "Well, it's good we didn't find you."

If #AAPI turnout exceeded expectations, the response was "Guess you didn't need the funding anyway." 
It has taken the mass shootings, dismemberment, stabbings + unprovoked attacks of some of our most vulnerable for our pain to be seen (+ only sometimes heard.)

Foundations, corporations, govt agencies: look at your budgets. If you are not spending a proportionate amount of funding on #AAPIs, ask yourself why. If the answer is that you think we have no needs, that we are the model minority, or that we will be silent, think again.
Or worse, if you think of us only as an ATM + think that we (I) will be satisfied w/ a photo op + some pretty words, you don't know me.
