MS is arguably one of the best WK this world has ever seen, second to none !

He wasn't very sound technically,,was a lot unorthodox but he had belief in himself, his unorthodox technique and see now, every other kid aspiring to be a WK idolizes him and his techniques.

He had every skill that a WK should have..in fact he had some extra,,probably home made.
Those blind run outs,,stopping a late cut cleverly and many many more.
(There should be a different thread on his WK skills imo )

Now his lightning fast hands..
I bet, search in this whole cricket world and you won't find hands quicker than those of him. You just can't. Quick reflexes that works in micro-seconds.
It is said that never lift your foot off the ground if there's a monster named MS behind you.

In whole Career ..
MS have 829 dismissals to his name, 3rd most in the world which includes 634 catches and 195 stumpings with a ratio of 1.363 dismissals per innings.

No one in this world have more stumpings than him in cricket. Second best is 139 by Sangakkara !

He's the most successfull indian WK ever. No other indian has affected more dismisaals than him in cricket. You can imagine his domination in indian cricket by a fact that second most dismissals by an indian WK is 261 by Nayan Mongia. The stalwart behind the wickets.

In test cricket he affected 294 dismissals after playing only 90 tests and is 5th in the world in the list of most dismissals in test. Most by an indian obviously. His total dismissals includes 256 catches and 38 stumpings.

In case of ODI cricket..he has got 444 dismissals to his name including 321 catches and 123 stumpings and is placed 3rd in the list of most dismissals by a WK in odi cricket.
His 123 stumpings in this format is a world record. He is the only player to cross mark of 100 stumpings

In T20i ,,MSD leads the list with 91 dismissals to his name in world cricket.
In IPL too, he is second to none,, leading the chart with 153 dismissals in whole IPL history..

MSD also holds the record for top 5 fastest stumpings ever in cricket.
His stumping of Keemo Paul against WI is recognised as the fastest ever with time span of 0.08 seconds...faster even than an eye takes to blink.

His ability to guide bowlers from behind the wicket,,,taking a crucial wicket by his cleverness and producing wickets for his team by utter half chances are bonus for any team in the whole world.

Truly MS has been a stalwart behind the wickets for 15 years and we rarely saw him having bad day behind the wickets.
That's the trust he achieved and magic he produced. Changing game from behind was the new normal he introduced. That's MS for you.
