Liking someone is a feeling, loving someone is a choice. We can't really control who we like, but we can control who we love. We don't have to like everyone, but we do have to love everyone, most *especially* those who we don't like.

Those who have different interests than us, those who are annoying, those who are on the opposite end of the political spectrum, those who have hurt us grievously - all people who we might never be able to like, but all people who are called to love.

It's of course easier said than done to say that we have to love even those we don't like, but turn to meditate upon Our Lord on the cross and ask for the intercession of Saint Stephen, both of whom forgave for those who are putting them to death.
