I don't get why people get mad when someone critiques oversexualization of women or the male gaze, like idk man have you seen the way a cishet man draws a boob vs how wlw draw boobs? Fucking night and day
Like one feels like it's a commodity, something to be consumed and gawked at while the other is appreciated, respected even, like a fine work of art. Like there's just this level of understanding, idk if im explaining myself proper. If you don't respect boobs u cant draw boobs
some y'all really bending backwards to try and say 'not all men' like shhhhhhh, if u dont respect boobies idk what to tell u
Yall I never said women cant draw bigggg honkers big honka donky donkers huge badonkadonks.

I swear to god yall always do this with this conversation, it isn't about the damn size of the tits its the framing.
Ok apprently I have to make this a 🧵 because you people keep getting defensive over things I did not say.

I didn't say women cant draw big huge mommy milkers, i didnt even say that big tiddies were bad or that if you like biiiiiig boobs you're a misgonysis and a pig 1/13
My point here is the framing in which women are drawn/portrayed in that is gross and objectifies them and their boobs (or other assets)

This conversation has been a bit nsfw but I'm going to be using more nsfw talking points from this point! 2/13
Take the example of porn and more specifically girl/girl porn. A lot of porn like that isn't made for wlw, its made for men, with their tastes and gaze in mind. 'Lesbian' porn is extremely fetishized and objectified, the spectacle of it is made with some disregard 3/13
And disrespect toward those types of relationships, that the gayness of a thing is what makes it inherently sexual

Same thing for women who draw mlm relationships for their own personal sexual fantasy/ comodification of those types of relationship with little regard for mlm 4/13
There is nothing wrong with making mlm/wlw porn what IS wrong is the comodification and fetishization of things that aren't inherently sexual.

Same thing here gang. Boobs arent inherently sexual but often they're put/perceived as sexual which is a whole different convo 5/13
The problem with boobs and specifically im talking about boobs in more sexual/nsfw contexts is that the way they are FRAMED is oftentimes fetishized and objectified in a way thats for male consumption.

6/13
Fucking look no further than s/ak1m1chan, most of her audience is male and she draws her things FOR male consumption under the male gaze.

This doesnt fucking mean women dont consume it or find it hot, dont over simplify my words. 7/13
Most artists have full control over how they do compositions and frame things. When people draw someone CASUALLY standing and not meant for sexual consumption they still find a way to make the person with boobs a sexual object and commodity with the framing of their boobs 8/13
This happens irl, a person could be standing, just a tshirt and jeans on and if the shape of their boobs are noticible then they are immediately seen as sexual, justified for catcalling, so when people draw boobs in a casual setting in a way thats grossly sexualized 9/13
In a piece that ISN'T about it being nsfw or something, it's weird and gross and objectifying. This doesnt mean you cant have casual and sexy pieces, Im talking about the fucking scott campbell types who say oh casual pose but it's far from it. 10/13
Just because something is someones style or thats what they like to draw doesn't mean we should just be okay with it. And I'm not talking about just the WAY its drawn, im talking about the framing and composition that lends to the objectification of boobs that isnt tasteful 11/13
If someones art style had some pretty racist features should we be like HUU B-BUT ITS THEIR ART STYLE?

Like why is the argument 'but its their art style' used to wave away any ounce of criticism.

Anyway I will conclude with my original sentiment. 12/13
IF YOU DONT RESPECT BOOBS AND THE PEOPLE ATTACHED TO THEM, USUALLY YOU WONT DRAW THEM GOOD AND TASTY

13/13
ANYWAY, I do art, not tiddy art but art none the less, if you said 'not all men' you owe me a dollar.
