There was a point of time in mid March, when I, sitting in Europe, was jealous of the vaccination speed in India. India is still vaccinating amongst the fastest in the world, despite the slowdown due to US ban of raw-materials.

India produces 60% of the vaccines in the world. https://twitter.com/chetan_bhagat/status/1391635654069653505
I understand the frustration due to Covid 2.0 wave. But I don't understand the complete fry-up of the brain cells of these people.

India has only one positive in the Covid world: the extraordinary domestic capacity for vaccine production. These companies are our national assets.
Even if our supply chains are not destroyed by other global powers, and even if we are producing so many vaccines, we will still not be able to vaccinate all the 100% of the population in one go. It will obviously take a long time, during which we are at mercy of a raging Covid.
Correct point. But why is this? India was supposed to be producing 2 times the amount of Novavax as it is doing for Covishield. So far, none were delivered. The situation is like this only because the global supply chains for Covid vaccines were destroyed. https://twitter.com/Shan_1_2/status/1391725978653585416?s=20
India is responsible not only for itself, but also for the whole world in delivering the vaccines. It is simply an extremely important manufacturing center for vaccines. India cannot abdicate this responsibility, as the world will see many unnecessary Covid deaths otherwise.
It will take a year to vaccinate the whole population. In fact, it will take longer, as there will be significant vaccine hesitancy when we reach levels of 60%.

India eradicated Polio by vaccination in 2014, and the current health minister was leading it. https://twitter.com/Shan_1_2/status/1391727050432532487?s=20
Anybody who expects everyone to be vaccinated in one go is an idiot. There are major supply crunches in the beginning, and there will be major demand crashes in the end. India must prioritize the at-risk groups in the beginning, and should slowly expand its vaccination programme.
India was doing this quite well, even when the programme was being pilloried by a wide variety of arseholes who were spreading FUD on vaccines. Then when Covid numbers started to rise, the arseholes shifted direction and started demanding immediate vaccination for all. Morons !
LOL. Go ahead and buy it. Who will sell it to you? Where do they have the capacity? People who placed the orders last year are still waiting.

The central government liberalized the vaccine regime, now nothing is stopping the states from placing orders. https://twitter.com/Shan_1_2/status/1391728625511108612?s=20
This is the situation in the world mid-March.

"The left overs of the vaccines from the rich countries will make way for us", says @chetan_bhagat !

India begging for vaccines from other countries is like China begging for plastic objects. https://twitter.com/FonsStoelinga/status/1371018165040340992?s=20
If USA finally manages to export its vaccines from its native manufacturing capacity, wonderful. It was just several months too late into the act. No worries, the world can definitely benefit from a higher production capacity.

But Indian production is a must for the world.
I don't understand what makes idiots like this Chetan Bhagat, surely it's not intellectual capacity. This is, after all, a product of IIT-IIM. But then, how does he graduate to being an idiot of this order!?

It is not just dripping self-loathing for India. It is true dumbness.
Extra credit of pretended dumbness to the shampoo'd master.

India cannot ruin its own native industry. The US companies invested their extra profits into expanding their production. The colonial stooge party wants Indian companies to go bankrupt instead. https://twitter.com/ShashiTharoor/status/1391754759845990400?s=20
The whole political bullshit about vaccine pricing is to just keep the Indian vaccine manufacturers on tenterhooks. These are trivially small margins of money, when the overall loss to Covid is considered. But no, the stooge party wants native companies to not expand production.
I mean, how pathetic do you have to be to pull down the crown jewels of your own country? And that too in a moment of a global pandemic, when these companies are the one single reason for your country to earn goodwill ?
