Only around 12% of these deaths, according to data obtained from the Scottish Care Inspectorate, were thought to be Covid-related. So why did the other deaths occur?

An inquiry is needed, says @DrDMacaskill of @scottishcare

People were left in really vulnerable situations, said @InclusionScot, who carried out research into how people who receive care were affected in Scotland during the pandemic #HomeCareCounts

Scottish Labour deputy leader and health spokesperson @jackiebmsp said a public inquiry must examine decisions made “and give families the answers they deserve”.

“An inquiry must be able to consider all available evidence to ensure such a tragedy never happens again.”
