Only around 12% of these deaths, according to data obtained from the Scottish Care Inspectorate, were thought to be Covid-related. So why did the other deaths occur?

Scottish Labour deputy leader and health spokesperson @jackiebmsp said a public inquiry must examine decisions made “and give families the answers they deserve”.

“An inquiry must be able to consider all available evidence to ensure such a tragedy never happens again.”
Meanwhile, if you have any connection with the home care system and would like to share your experiences, or thoughts overall on getting assistance and support at home, then you can send in text, audio or photos with our online tool #HomeCareCounts
