The use of flash bangs, tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets inside the Al Aqsa compound horrifies Palestinians this morning.
Clashes w police outside Al Aqsa mosque this morning. Large numbers of Palestinians had gathered there to protect the area from a march planned by Far-Right Nationalists who refer to today as "Jerusalem Day." Two weeks ago they marched here and chanted "Death to Arabs."
The destruction and debris left in the wake of the storming of Al Aqsa mosque by Israeli police this morning. The Palestinian Red Crescent reports 305 injuries so far, w 7 of those in serious condition.
The tension of Israel's apartheid state inevitably bubbles to the surface as each indignity provokes a violent reaction, which further "justifies" the next indignity. As one journalist put it earlier this week, East Jerusalem is a "fire in search of a match" right now.
