He’s been waiting so long to face off against Vil and finally his wish came true this year. He’s been doing heavy workouts for a month to prepare so he can be in top shape for the challenge

Rook’s so excited for the moment he’s gonna catch him and Epel that he doesn’t think he can sleep. Vil says not to count his chickens before they’ve hatched- he has no intention of easily being caught.

Says don’t come crying to me if you find you’ve bitten off more than you can chew (rephrasing the idioms he’s using here so they make sense but...) and then they both start laughing like this and Epel’s scared like I better avoid both of them tomorrow lol

Vil says anyone could do the move, even Epel and Riddle, and then Floyd asks him to teach him. Then Floyd tells him he wasn’t into the farmers jacket colors but it looks great on Vil and Vil’s like “Of course, who do you think I am?” and then Floyd says he wants one.

After that Vil gets Floyd to join them and Riddle protests but Vil’s like he’s physically stronger so it’ll help us so Riddle reluctantly concedes and Floyd agrees to join saying he’s interested in the game now like “Yay!♪ Let’s go~”

They find another box of stuff and Vil styles Floyd’s outfit for him. Floyd’s really into it and asks if it looks good on him and Epel says yeah looks cool. Then Riddle’s like why does he get all the stuff? And Floyd’s like well you haven’t been doing much to help and they banter

Floyd’s like you’re pretty weak for a dorm leader and Riddle’s like well it’s not like Azul is any stronger without magic. Floyd’s like that’s not true he may be unathletic and slow on land/water but he’s bigger than him & Jade in the water and his tentacles have a powerful grip

Riddle & Vil comment he doesn’t appear like the type but Floyd says he’s got a lot of meat on him (but not like chub ) so he guesses it’s only natural he’d be that way in human form too but not to underestimate him. It’s a cute exchange you can tell he cares abt Azul

Floyd & Riddle start going at it & Epel goes to tell them to calm down but Vil’s like leave it they’ve been that way since their entrance ceremony. Epel & Vil bond & share some smiles/laughs until Vil’s like “c’mon ‘explosive combi’ () stop playing or we’ll leave you behind”

Riddle isn’t very happy abt being dubbed ‘explosive combi’ but Floyd finds it to be a funny joke. Next story is monster team and we find out Rook’s nickname for Jack is Monsieur Tough Guy.

They make their plans and split. Jack and Azul head for the colosseum, Trey and Rook head to where Vil and co have gone to the Botanical Garden. Trey’s like you’re in an even better mood than usual and Rook says it’s bc they rarely have the opportunity to face off leader vs vice

Trey plays it down like he’s not as into it as Rook but talks about just a couple of times he played tag with Riddle as a kid. Then they and Vil and co smell the food Kalim’s cooking and it cuts to Jamil who’s already there ready to go and it’s the end of the first half.

There’s a lot missing esp at the beginning since I started this thread for the Rook and Vil/Pom parts but uhhh hopefully some of this is useful to someone. The Trey and Rook parts are really interesting but Rook talks too much and I’m lazy sorry but it’ll be fun to analyze later~
