The wicked problem for everyone who believes in a better future for Nigeria is how to capture value from our assets. Can we agree that until we solve for talent flight and offshoring of productive ventures, we won't capture enough value to activate that future we dream about.

All the successful businesses we are celebrating today at best give opportunity for PAYE to our economy. Entrepreneurs and their investors will do what's best for them and if govt doesn't provide a compelling case, the nation won't capture much from the big "raises" we celebrate.

If we let our "200m" population deceive us, we will be on a spot for a long time. The best of our human capital is being lured away because we fail to make a case for why people should live in a society that cares less about them. Our only case is patriotism. What more?
