I have been thinking a lot lately about gaming legacy and my own history as a gamer. In 2007, my friends and family spent a whole lot of time and energy in Azeroth. The majority of us lasted until around 2011 and drifted along into several expansions.
As a founding member of the Blood Corsairs Guild of a relatively small PvP server known as Alterac Mountains -- I've often lamented how our exploits, interactions, and adventures have summarily been lost to the void.
It looks like we may now have an exciting opportunity to visit our old haunts and to retrace our footsteps. A means of reclaiming some of those experiences from the ether, so to speak.
Blizzard is launching The Burning Crusade Classic, set to begin May 18th, 2021
I don't know if there are any out there that remember us. We often participated in world PvP events, coming to the defense and aid of whomever was under attack by opportunistic members of the Alliance.
Our guild was made up of a small core of 8 or 9 people, and so we usually teamed up with a sister guild known as Virtue of Vise to take on larger raids.
The Blood Corsairs Guild & The Virtue of Vise Guild
Together again? Consequentially, I'm not in contact with anyone from Virtue of Vise (yes, Vise is misspelled), and if you're reading this and having some major cravings for nostalgia and Alliance bloodshed -- like I am -- reach out to me so that we can team up.
Even if you have no previous affiliation with us; I still want to play with you! Join my http://battle.net  group ( https://blizzard.com/invite/AXl59RquYMZ)
My hope and goal is to document for posterity (and some internet points) the re-initial opening of the Dark Portal and the mayhem that one can only expect from PvP servers.

We had a few alt-guilds running in the background too: Bring Amberlamps ; Forge Camp Sunshine to name two of them.

See you in-game!
