Good morning Sneak Geeks! I know (I know) it has been a lil while! How are we? GOOD! Let's get into it.
There's so much to cover in the first quarter of the year however, in The Sneak Geek Diary entries I get to bore you with my personal life (BOO!).
But actually given that we have seen lockdown after lockdown since The Sneak Geek blog started; there hasn't always been a lot of activity to talk about.
Since the start of the year I had decided to actually follow through with my New Years Resolutions, one being, running.
Since January 1st I have taken it upon myself to partake in multiple 5k's throughout the week using my trustee Apple Watch and iPhone app 'Fitness' and this to me sparks a series of questions:
My Running shoes
My Running shoes
As you can see I am really an inexperienced runner and I am sure if Usain were to be reading this (please let us know if you do Usain! :) ) he would probably laugh at the speed of light at me, HOWEVER!.
I had to work with what I had before I lost motivation and this is what I managed to muster up. 1) Nike Air Huarache Graphite/Orange (2013) these are probably not the best for running in due to flexibility of the shoe, however, during the bit of snow we received in the UK these…
…were ideal. 2) Adidas EQT Support ADV Core Black/Turbo Black (2017) this seems to be my "GO-TO" these bad boys are light, comfy, flexible and do not hurt your feet; what a delight to run in!.
However are not the best when faced with the inevitable UK weather turnout..RAIN!. 3) Nike Air Huarache NM Hot Lava (2015) as much as I really thought I liked the concept of this shoe..I think I really was forcing some strange Kanye-esk/Running/Fashion wardrobe malfunction; in…
…the sense that these were never bought (or made) with the intentions of running in them.
These are TERRIBLE on the foot and left me with blisters for weeks!. 4) Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra Triple Olive (2016) now these are odd, really light, very comfortable, semi-flexible but incredibly hard sole.
I am a fan of the sneak itself in the sense that it didn't take a month to condition the shape to my foot measurements like the conventional Huarache. But actually it's a great all round running and fashionable sneak.
What running shoes should I be looking at?

So I'm going to leave this discussion open to the reader and hopefully I get some good feedback definitely reach out to us via thesneakgeekuk@gmail.com and/or IG @thesneakgeekuk (check out bottom of the page). We want to know what the best runner is and why?
Send us in your pictures and running results and lets start something a Runner Resort, a Usain Utopia, a...no...no I got nothing! LOL!
However, I would love to get some tips and feedback and even hear about some events and some places where runners go to share their sporting stories with other runners.
