The Soviet Union bled heavily to defeat fascism, true. But it was also an industrial war. US lend-lease aid was critical to converting sacrifices into victory. As Kruschev himself wrote, "If the United States had not helped us, we would not have won the war." https://twitter.com/freedomrideblog/status/1391432826415878147
The materiel included weapons (including tanks, aircraft), raw materials, food, boots, trucks, fuel, telephone wire, tractors, gasoline, metals, aluminium, etc. Some the western powers delivered via US-UK-Can Arctic convoys, which themselves diverted the Kriegsmarine & Luftwaffe.
And the US & British war effort had important diversionary effects on the Reich, tying down perhaps a quarter of its land forces and fixing large parts of the Luftwaffe over European skies.
So let's indeed remember who defeated fascism in ww2. By understanding that inflicting defeat is not merely a matter of suffering the most casualties. It was, in Stalin's words, a war of machines.
