Of all the modern and ancient interpretations of the myth of Icarus, the writer of this drama chose to acknowledge the one in which Icarus died because of his attraction for the God of The Sun (Helios) that caused him to act recklessly.
That's super gay

In case I wasn't clear enough, Kang Ja-Kyeong using the myth of Icarus as a metaphor for her love story was pretty normal & not too surprising.
However what surprised was the choice of the writer to go out of their way to make Seo Hi-Soo call the myth of Icarus "romantic"

Most people wouldn't call this myth "a romantic story" because for them Icarus was just an arrogant brat.
However if you interpret this myth as a love story then Icarus suddenly becomes a pitiful gay mortal who died because he had the audacity to fall in love with a god.

Sorry I keep adding to this thread but it's a 5 am so ofc my remarks must be hard yo decrypt therefore here is one last clarification:
I don't think anything will happen betwern Hi-Soo & Ja-Kyeong, this was more about an artistic choice of the writer https://twitter.com/NoxDawn/status/1391587475143987203?s=19
