🧵about motherhood and the feeling of constantly failing:
1. there is no A for effort just the sense that you are hopefully not screwing up these little humans
2. working mothers always feel like they either suck at their job or suck at being there for their kids. and we get paid less. promoted less. speak up less.
3. And this year, we were moms during a freaking pandemic-we battled our own anxiousness and theirs. We became makeshift (terrible in my case) teachers/coaches/daycare all while trying to make sure you didn't catch Cov-2 at work and give it to your whole family
4. we have lost mothers to covid and continue to in developing countries. forced to make horrendous decisions while keeping your s&*t together by day
5. Some of us hate this day, I did when I wanted a family and suffered loss after loss and had no hope in sight.
(end) So today, lets not stop at just one day. Let every single day be a day where we support each other, reflect on the most rewarding job and yet the most exhausting one and be role models to all the boys and girls out there
