The great thing about sports is that it is such a unifying force. These girls come from different backgrounds, with different beliefs, and different life experiences. They have learned how to be a team, how to work together, how to communicate and how to care for each other...

More than likely without sports a lot of these girls probably wouldn’t associate with each other very much, and would miss out on the value of getting to know and befriend people different than themselves...

These bonds create a level of trust, and when you trust people you can have life’s difficult conversations that we all need to have to make the world better. I hope they have had a special experience this season. I hope the bonds they have formed will not end any time soon.
