re LRT: Mary H.K. Choi may be writing teens according to marketing but her books are what New Adult could be let’s do it
I still recommend FANGIRL often, despite the Issues with the author because it's one of the most realistic NA books i’ve ever picked up. And some with RED, WHITE, AND ROYAL BLUE.

But we deserve more books about non-famous people in their 20s.
I remember looking for my first apartment while also being classes and it was. An ADVENTURE. And hilarious. I would LOVE a book that features a bunch of scenes where somebody’s seeing Apartment Horror Stories because that’s their budget.
It’s not a coincidence that these authors and stories tend to Sell Well either so I don’t know what else publishing wants.
There’s SO much that can be done with books focusing on those first years of real independence - post-high school or post-college. So many of the “firsts” you see in YA can also be firsts in NA. And it’s a whole different kind of coming into your own!
