The restaurant industry is making itself obsolete everyday by refusing to pay workers a living wage AND affordable benefits. If you can't afford this, then you really can't afford to be in business. Tips should be a plus not something workers should have to depend on. Two, this

industry needs to rein in the jackass*s these workers often have to deal with. To me, when a patron shows their behind in a restaurant, they should be fined & banned for a year. If they assaulted someone they should be arrested & taken to jail. I say this because people act like

the only way to resolve a dispute is being a jerk. Talk to the manager. Call the company's corporate hotline for goodness sake. The abuse on top of the compensation is why the restaurant industry won't be the same.
