Two things:
(1) I forgot how good a kir royale is, as a champagne cocktail. Snaps to the French!

(2) the @USArmyDoctrine ATP 6-0.5 for Command Post Org and Ops is so fetch (yeah, I went there).

It doesn’t get enough love from the Army. It’s a gem. Everyone should read it. 1/x
First of all, it does an amazing job laying out the down and dirty, useful stuff about command posts at various echelons, from Theater to Battalion. No superlative words. Just the facts, ma’am.

2/xx
Then it gives you some fundamental thoughts and ideas about how to make the command post work.

It even gives you a baseline for building a battle rhythm, meetings, and some tools to experiment with.

No one talks about it, but ATP 6-0.5 is genuinely awesome! It’s barely 100 pages, easy to flip through in about an hour. My #miltwitter peeps, if you are building an SOP for your command post, this needs to be your first stop!

Trust me. You’ll love it. 5/xx
Also... for the record...

It’s not called a TOC. It’s called a “main CP.” I know. I do it too sometimes. Say it with me.

Main. CP.

Let’s make a pact to be better about this, #miltwitter
