tw // miscarriage

why people should stop joking about nick foster(even though idk who that is)‘s gf’s miscarriage: a 🧵
because it’s wrong to joke about miscarriage. full stop. but i will elaborate anyways.
apparently nick foster is known for dark humor about others. which is wrong. dark humor should only apply to yourself. but that same principle should apply. no one should make dark humor about a miscarriage, especially making fun of a woman who went through a trauma.
also, nick foster and his GF probably won’t see your tiktoks and tweets. but what about the people you know that have had a miscarriage? how will they feel about the jokes? because as someone who’s had one, it doesn’t feel good.
my baby would be a couple months old right now. a baby that i wouldn’t have been able to raise. but that doesn’t mean miscarriage jokes don’t hurt. that doesn’t mean it’s not hard sometimes.
just...be mindful about what you tweet and retweet. it’s mother’s day and i am stuck between wanting my child here and being thankful i didn’t become a teen mom. it’s hard enough.
