like people want to say this isnt significant. This is like , from an anthropologist and historical angle , the coolest fucking video ever.

more importantly we never really had this on camera. This is a historical video. It gives you insight on how people would fight with swords when you remove dumb shit like martial arts and choreography that poisoned the concept of pre gunpowder warfare. This is what it looked like

almost every sword fight you have seen in TV , videogames , and movies is completely wrong and stupid.

They would have had no training beyond "this end goes into enemy". All fighting would be instinctual like we see in this video.

After watching the video a few thousand times some observations
1. The "zombie blade" is a kopis style sword from a "zombie" brand. Likely cost less that 100 bucks and is dogshit and banned in UK. May or may not be properly sharp. Will still hurt you badly.

2. The man holding the green zombie sword is either drunk (high probability its the UK) or physically or neurologically damaged based on his gait and way he walks and runs.

The machete (also banned) are by design not too sharp off the shelf. They are for chopping not cutting. So when at 45-46 second into the video , the man without the shirt strikes at the other guys stomach 2x , the clothes he was wearing protected him from being VERY badly hurt

As you can see the wounds are deep. However a properly sharpened sword with weight behind it is going to do ALOT more damage than this , almost always to the bone. He got away very lucky and will have seriously badass scars for life.
