I bought 22 @zed_run horses on Friday's drop - a thread

First off, I'm not a "Zed insider". I'm far from that and not affiliated with Zed in any way.

Secondly, I don't have a bot. I have a mediocre desktop PC with two monitors and a basic internet plan.

I've participated in dozens of NFT drops of different formats. I think that the @zed_run team really did try to find the most equitable format, despite the public outcry.

They're also pioneering Matic drops which is commendable and mostly unchartered territory. Dropping on Matic

puts the prep work up front and saves buyers literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in gas fees.

I, like many other large players, have multiple stables. It helps with organization. Therefore, I received 3 links on drop day.

I was first assigned to Wave 3. I didn't share my link, got in the drop, and was shut out. 0 horses. So, I pressed on with my other links.

I also collab'd with others to enter evening waves via multiple links. After all, it was only "recommended" not to share and the Zed team specifically clarified via a Twitter Spaces prior to drop that there would be no penalty for doing so.

There were literally hundreds of other stables that did the same. Your purchase count was simply dependent on how familiar you are with the drop format and how fast you clicked. I picked up 8 in a single wave and believe 10-12 per drop is humanly possible.

There's a Google Doc floating around with inaccurate information. I've bought 2.5 ETH worth of unraced genesis horses since drop which are in the tally.

Rumor is that a Topshot guy built it. I wouldn't expect a FLOW guy to understand real blockchains. Let's give him a mulligan

Tips to maximize your haul:
1) Multiple monitors, multiple tabs
2) Filter by colors ASAP
3) Don't click "Done" after purchasing. Click the "X" button within confirmation popup to immediately return to the horses
4) Share links
5) Prepare for 48hrs of backlash

Also, if you did buy in multiple waves, IMO you don't owe anyone an explanation. Even if they're harassing you in DMs.

With over 50,000 on Discord, you need to work the system. Otherwise you're ngmi. People are understandably upset. This drop will be a small footnote in Zed history.
