A different mother's day

A mother's job is to nurture and care for her children. But for some mothers a child is not a bundle of joy.

For a variety of reasons a child is just another obligation, another responsibility or a mistake.

Today is not an easy day for those children.

The photos and videos of the loving mother/child relationships highlight a different reality for them.

Sure it's not our job to be everything to everyone but today isn't easy for every family.

And here in Jamaica esp. we have too many instances of domestic violence—too many abusive parents. It's a sad fact.

So what's the point of this thread? One person's reality is not everyone's reality. One person's celebration is someone else's hell.

We don't need to know what's going on behind closed doors to be kind to each other so let's be compassionate to all.
