A new low from @HelloFreshUK (and that's saying something): 6 recipes, of which 1 — yes, one — is complete.

Crispy chicken: no chicken
Prawn and butternut squash: missing *every single ingredient* other than prawns
Mushroom risotto: no mushrooms, no rice. Or leak. Or spinach.
Hilariously, what their "Mushroom & Bacon Risotto with Mangetout" doesn't actually have mangetout listed in the ingredients...
Worse still, if a recipe card is missing multiple ingredients but not every single ingredient, you need to:
open the recipe
scroll to the ingredient
say it is missing
click done

for each one. No multi-select.

What a pain.
Having completed their self-reporting, they now say it is not available for "recent deliveries".

Even though those are the recipes they show.

Perhaps I'm supposed to guess next week's cock ups.

Well done, @HelloFreshUK. Well done indeed.
I now get to have a text chat with someone.

The poor chap is, I guess, having to juggle multiple customers, given the passage of time between replies.
I am using the time between replies to come up with recipe ideas of my own.

Instead of the "prawn and roasted butternut squash dahl", for which we have only prawns, my recipe is "pan friend crispy prawns". We'll supply the oil.
In place of "mushroom risotto with bacon lardons and baby spinach" (mangetout on the website), we only have grated hard "Italian style" cheese, and bacon lardons.

So my recipe is greasy cheesy lardons.
For the "crispy skinned chicken", sadly, we have no chicken, and thus the "crispy" and "skinned" elements are out of the question too.

It's looking like a roasted butternut squash and feta salad.
(It was 5 meals this week, not 6: mea culpa.)

They have offered a credit against our next box.

I've asked for a refund instead, and they have done it. No need to push, but a shame it's not the default.
I downloaded the invoice "just in case".

It's no surprise that neither the invoice address nor the delivery address are correct: the delivery address on the invoice is not the address to which they've been delivering incomplete boxes for the last seven months.
But, hey, when I think of GDPR/DPA in this context, I'm more interested in Getting Dinner Packed Right / Dinner Packed Accurately.
By the way, we've got four voucher codes for friends for HelloFresh. If this thread has inspired you to give it a go, please read it again.

Apparently the offer "expires soon", like the spinach.
I've just noticed my typo on "leek" in the first tweet, and I am now tempted to delete the thread.

How embarrassing.
Following discussions with the other decision maker, this was the final straw.

From HelloFresh to GoodbyeFresh.

It's a good idea, and we got out of our rut of just cooking the same thing, but the execution was too poor to continue with it.
