1) As soon as Modi govt decentralised the vaccine procurement allowing the states to procure as they wish, from whomever they wish (even from outside India), and negotiate prices directly as they wish, suddenly panic has set in.

"Federalism" folks opposing this decentralization!

2) "Federalism" people want One nation one vaccine price! The same folks never wanted One nation one election or one nation one tax (GST).

CMs who hate "central" CBI, EC or ED, are suddenly wanting Central government's full involvement in everything to do with vaccine supply.

3) See how quickly decentralization falls off in some cases?

Everyone wants profit of federalism. But no one wants serious responsibility or risks of a decentralized approach. Vaccine decentralization clearly proved it.
