Every year there's an explosion of sickly-sweet bullshit "for Mother's Day", vampirized for cash by Hallmark and floral companies.

No. I'll tell you what I *really* want for Mother's Day.

I want universal childcare, universal basic income, equal pay for women, and an end to the violent misogyny permeating our entire society.

And that's just for starters.

I want full bodily autonomy for every woman, including free, safe, effective birth control. I want actual support for mothers raising future citizens and consumers, not just lip service. I want mothers to be treated as human beings instead of incubators.

Oh, and while we're here? Trans women are women, and trans mothers are mothers.

And if you have problems with any of the above, this mother right here says, "Fuck you."
