Folks. If your refrigeration tech tells you that your fridge/freezer needs a top-up of refrigerant gas, ASK IF THERE IS A LEAK IN THE SYSTEM.
Gas doesn't just leak out. And if your fundi keeps topping up gas, there is something WRONG WITH THE FUNDI.

But for the love of all that is good in this world, DON'T PRESUME TO TEACH ME HOW FREEZERS WORK.
You don't keep topping up gas like it's a bicycle tyre. You will kill the compressor.
At the same time, a freezer is not a magical box. It does not miraculously preserve food. It has to be in working order, and you have to ensure that you rotate the contents early on to properly to ensure even freezing.
